The Salvation Army East Harris County has opened a shelter at 2732 Cherrybrook Ln. in Pasadena.

The phone number is 713-378-0020.

They are also accepting goods including bottled water, juice, baby formula, blankets, pillows, personal hygiene items, baby items, and paper goods (plates, napkins, paper towels, etc.). The U.S. Coast Guard in Houston is asking for donations to help about 50 workers in New Orleans on rescue efforts who are running out of basic supplies. Donations can be dropped off at the Coast Guard office at Ellington Field. Items in need include: Toilet paper and wipes, Soap, First Aid kits, bug spray, foot powder, Bottled water, sports drinks, coffee, Power bars, granola bars, cups of dry soup, Sleeping bags and pillows, D and AA batteries. Hi, I wanted to let this commmunity know that I am copying things like this & posting them on my bulletin on myspace. Ive given money so far but i just feel like i should do more.
