Tonight: Author Night at Hubbell Library AND Alvar Arts Night

The Hubbell Library's January Author Night will feature Keith Weldon Medley, author of We As Freemen: Plessy v. Ferguson. Since the Hubbell Branch is closed for repair, the event will be held at the Branch's temporary location at 225 Morgan St., in the Carriage House behind the Algiers Courthouse. Free wine, beer, snacks and refreshments sponsored by Southern Specialty Contracting.

TRACY THOMSON of Kabuki Design will present a retrospective of her 20
years in New Orleans: hat and costume design, teaching kids,
involvement in artist co-ops, theater, dance, and founding the Annual
Dirty Linen Night. The program is free and open to the public. Library
services will also be available.

A reception follow. King Cake, champagne and more. Sponsored by the Friends of NOPL and with contributions from the Bywater Neighborhood Association.
